What is a musical fountain?

A musical fountain is a fountain that changes its "patterns" and light colours in time with the music as the music is being played.

That is to say the number and which  jets are on and the height of those jets, along with the colours and intensity of the lights will vary according to the music that is being played, so for example if it is a musical low, you would have a few jets low and subdued lighting, it would look out of place if most jets were on their maximum, and all lights on 100% This changing sequence of events continues in time, for the duration of the music being played.
