Faulty jumping jet

Often, when people see a jumping jet doing this they say the jet is "faulty"   Its not, its working as it should. (People often say something is "faulty" when they do not understand how it works) When the water is NOT flowing it has to go somewhere. It does this by using a cutter to interrupt the flow, so the water is then diverted out the mid section. It is also the reason the jumping jets must be mounted in a pool.
