| What is a fountain. Simple question, not a simple answer. Very basically a fountain is a water jet in a pre designed pool. It has no livestock. Fountains are available in all shapes and sizes, from small domestic fountains to large commercial sized fountains. Positioning Consideration should be taken when deciding where to put your fountain, preferably away from trees, and on level ground. Pool size The size and decoration of the pool has to be considered too, its pointless spending all the budget on the pool only to find you can not afford what you wanted, the opposite is also true, you shouldn't spend all the budget on a 30 point fountain to find you have nothing to put it in. Material For a garden pond use a liner, for a professional fountain we suggest concrete but easier still is a preformed fibre-glass pool, its cheaper and very easy to install, can be above or bellow ground. Nozzles nozzles are what give a fountain its pattern, there are lots to choose from depending on what effect you want to achieve, our nozzles are here Lighting You can have a fountain without lighting but it brings a fountain to life as the daylight fades, we have yet to see a fountain that is over lit. We can supply a variety of lighting options which can be seen by clicking here Controls Be it a simple time switch, daylight sensor, or a computer programme, we even have controls that detect wind speed we can supply a variety of controls for your requirements, our controls are here Maintenance Something that is quite often forgotten about is maintenance, what use is it if to gain access to a component if you have to remove several others to get to it or worse still it is now buried somewhere and where is somewhere? If you get the components from us we also supply a custom written manual for installation and maintenance. Hygiene / filtration Also sometimes overlooked is water treatment, a fountain contains water that can be contaminated by water borne disease, you should also remember that some of the budget should be considered for water treatment. Chlorine derived products are the cheapest.
