Connecting
the lights
Once you have your lights how do you assemble
and connect them?
 |
|
This is the front of a light. The "facia" is securely
held in position by 4 stainless steel screws. |
 |
|
Light with facia removed. Please also note the
facia is rectangular, so it will only fit one of two ways. |
 |
|
Close up of the light. Please observe the dark red
ring, this is actually a removable rubber seal which prevents water
ingress. It is at this stage you insert the halogen lamp
you then simply reverse the assembly process. |
 |
|
This is the rear view, there are two "caged" nuts (The
blue objects on the light) you then screw in the bolts (The blue
objects sitting either side of the light) these bolts hold the
bracket in place |
Once the light is assembled you then connect the
connection cable, this is held in securely by two stainless steel screws
You can then mount your light in the desired location. Please note these
lights must be secured otherwise they will "float away" See our
mounting suggestions page

|
The other end of each lamp cable connects in a similar way to
the submersible transformer. The transformer really can be mounted
in the pool, (1m Depth, Maximum) Please note this is the only transformer we know
of that can do this |
The mains incoming (pre wired, with water proof seal, aprox 10 m
in length) cable should then be
taken out of the pool and connected to the mains.
How you get the cable out is your choice. The simplest
way is "over the edge" but this is not ideal as it leaves the cable
exposed to mechanical damage, if you have a fibre glass pool you should
use one of our fibre glass connection glands
 |
|
This gland is designed to bring a cable out through a fibre
glass pool. It must be mounted on a flat surface to prevent leaks |
|
 |
|
If yours is a pre-cast concrete pool you should have a cable
entry gland similar to the the one on the left. (please note you may
only see the top of your cable entry gland, it may also have more or
less entry ports |
| If your fountain has no existing lighting
but does have a pump we suggest you remove the existing cable,
replace it with a bigger one and use one of our underwater junction
boxes to connect both the pump and light cables.
If you have no existing pump you will have to drain your pool and
install a suitable cable entry gland.
